The mangaka usually has a contract that states that the creator(s) are not to create any illicit sexual illustrations of their own characters (unless the series is of an adult or semi-nude publishing) and release to the public. Same thing applies to the mangaka of Bleach, which is why he only draws up some sexy illustrations of his characters, never going as far as nudity or intercourse. Some artists you may also know whom are published in regular as well as adult magazines are: Takeda Hiromitsu (Maken-ki!), Saeki Shun (Shokugeki no Soma), Shouji Satou (Highschool of the Dead), etc. There are a few artists that are exempt from these contracts such as: Yabuki Kentarou (To Love-Ru) [published illustration book of To Love-Ru with nudity], Okayado (Monster Musume) [few ero doujin relating to the world Monster Musume as well as similar characters, but no name & no story = no relation],
